La Casa, Desa ParkCity

La Casa is located at The Waterfront @ Desa ParkCity. I've been to the park nearby but not any of the restaurants there. Itz Christmas and my friend selected this restaurant for dinner!!

The Christmas menu set - consist of 1 appetizer + 1 soup + 1 main course + 1 dessert + 1 sparkling cranberry juice which ranges from RM69 to RM89

Mozarella turkey meatball fettucine : The name itself sounds sinfully delicious. Huge turkey meatballs stuffed with melted mozarella cheese in the centre. served with fettucine in tomato sauce. yum~

Pan seared halibut : Grilled fish served with ratatouille and "special sauce". The fish tasted "fishy" but the ratatouille was good!

Potato leek soup with shrimp cocktail : This is one of the appetizers served. The soup was good and the shrimp cocktail was fresh!

Lobster pasta : This dish is just so good!! I cant help myself from digging more into it.

Finally dessert! Strawberry cheese cake!! Love the combination of sponge cake, strawberries, cream and strawberry sauce.

I do enjoyed my dining experience at La Casa. Would definitely come back again!!

Happy New Year 2011!!

Edwin's 2010 Christmas Poolside Yoga

I was invited by a yoga instructor, Edwin to take photoshoot of his yoga event at Sunway Resort and Spa, in celebration with Christmas :)

Event started at 5.30pm with Edwin taking lead in this yoga "class". Seeing the participants so pro in several yoga stunts, it gave me some encouragement to start yoga again. (I m doing cardio btw)

It was raining heavily in the midst of this outdoor class and we shifted to the corridor to resume the class.
This event ended at about 6.30pm and we headed to the Sun n Surf Cafe for dinner!! Buffet dinner!! yum~~

Dem! I dint take pics of food. hahaha.. anyway the food served was so so. I would recommend you to go Umaiya for Japanese food. oops~

Me emceeing the event or rather games. (^_^)v

Night view outside the hotel. Nice!! with Christmas lights.
Merry Christmas everyone!!

Saturday

Foot Reflexology at Asianel

I was given a free foot reflexology voucher at Asianel Reflexology Spa, Starhill Gallery. Thanks to my sis!! :D

This relaxation centre is located at Pamper Floor, StarHill. When I first stepped into this place, it was dark but looks comfy though. Each customer would be allocated a "private space" which is a round area with a very comfy adjustable sofa in the center draped in red sheer curtain.

I felt like a queen during the 45 minutes feet reflexology!! However for the price of RM120 - I would think twice :p

Wednesday

There is also manicure service by Nail Parlour! Guys - you can have your manicure done while waiting for your girlfriend :p

Some of the glam customers at the bazaar.

Street Diva dance workshop by Lili Kosin which showcased cool hip hop moves with latest billboard songs.

She is also Malaysia Amateur Pole Dancing competition 2008 Winner! Here at the bazaar, she strutted her stuff and awed us with her sleek moves that sent us jaw dropping.

Glam Street Bzaar is planning for a monthly installment which would be carried out at different locations. Check out the next bazaar which would be at Sundays, Asian Heritage Row!

Monday

Lala Chong @ Kayu Ara, Damansara

After much debate, we decided to eat at Lala Chong over Pantai Seafood which is located next to each other at Kayu Ara, Damansara.

Let's start with steamed fresh fish with soya sauce. nom nom~

How could we not have lala when we are eating at Lala Chong?! So we ordered broth/soup based lala. The soup taste good with a zest of ginger and chinese wine.

Signature taufu - Home made stuffed taufu served with mayo. For me, itz so so only.

Steamed white chicken - The chicken pieces were tender and succulent, goes well with the special sauce. Highly recommended!

Salted egg crabs - This dish is such a dissapointment! The taste is bland without the slightest aroma of fried salted egg.

Overall, food was not too bad but itz really hot sitting outside the air cond room. The guys are sweating profusely so I recommend you to reserve a table in the air cond room for a more comfy meal.

Edwin's Poolside Yoga

I was invited by a client to shoot his yoga event at the poolside, Midvalley Boulevard Hotel.

Some of the yoga poses from participants

I stopped yoga ages ago but I think I can still do some of these poses LOL

Group pic after 1.5 hours of tiring but fun yoga workout :D After that was dinner + lucky draw + lou sang. ( yes, this event was in February but I dint have time to post -___- )

Wednesday

Favola @ Le Meridien

Favola! A Italian restaurant at Le Meridien Hotel, KL. Was so excited to explore this place after a good friend of mine brought me here.

As you step into this place, itz like you are walking through into a Italian setting reminiscent of the renaissance era.

Regretted of not bringing my DLSR here!! These pics are captured with my Panasonic Lumix.

I just love the chandelier and the settings in this restaurant! So comfy and classy!

Lets start with the starters. Well actually not really starters coz the hot waitress serves us bread, bagel, bread sticks and focaccia with dips ( FOC! ) The breads are soft, warm, fresh and fluffy!!
I was a bit full after munching almost half of em LOL

Fresh mussels! stuffed with minced chicken, garlic and herbs in tomato sauce. yummy~

Then we had Zuppa di Pesce alla Marinara - Seafood tomato and saffron soup with garlic toast. The soup taste really good with generous amount of seafood.

Risotto con Aragosta - Rice with lobster, green asparagus, lemon zest and green pea foam. Itz my first time trying risotto and this is really nice!!! the lobster were superb!!! I m craving for this dish again T_T

Conchiglioni Marinara al Cartoccio - Seafood in tangy tomato sauce, extra virgin olive oil, fresh herbs and parmesan cheese baked in parcel.

Finally we had Italian Gelato for dessert! Yummy gelato aka ice cream served with chocolate flakes and strawberries. Now, who wants some?
